Our goal with the H.E.L.P. program is to train as many citizens as possible so that they can help others when seconds count. We offer a variety of different services to our community as part of our outreach programs. 

• Fire Prevention programs for daycares, schools, and anyone else who is interested
• Stop the Bleed, which teaches bleeding control using tourniquets, gauze packing, and hemostatic dressings
• First on the Scene, NAEMT  accredited curriculum that covers activating the 911 system, Hands-only CPR and AED training, administering naloxone (Narcan) for opioid overdoses, administering epinephrine for anaphylaxis allergic reactions, penetrating chest trauma, moving patients to safety, and positioning injured patients.
• Get Alarmed Alabama is a program that provides free smoke detectors installed and tested by HVFD on behalf of the State of Alabama.
